

Taiji is one of the internal systems of Chinese martial arts. It is based on a combination of the philosophical principles of Yin - Yang, traditional Chinese medicine, breathing exercises, meditation, and the teachings of various self defense schools. Taiji is the culmination of thousands of years of Chinese traditional culture. It is a physical sport which is calm and easy, flexible and natural, continuous merged action with rest. It emphasizes self control and awareness. The actions are soft and stable, delicate and euphemistic. Those who think Taiji is only for the old are completely mistaken. Not only are more and more young Chinese people practicing Taiji, but also foreigners have come to love this sport.
